We are currently seeking a dynamic Finance & Accounting Associate to join our growing team as we continue to expand our operations.

Role Overview

The Finance & Accounting Associate will play a critical role in managing ClearGrid’s financial health. This position involves handling daily accounting tasks, supporting financial analysis, and assisting in regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a solid understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations. This role is essential to ensuring our company's financial operations are smooth and efficient.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Record Management: Maintain accurate financial records by managing accounts payables, receivables, and general ledger entries.
• Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Support the development of budgets and financial forecasts by analyzing past financial performance and market trends.
• Compliance & Auditing: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and prepare for internal and external audits.
• Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements, accounts, and other financial data to ensure accuracy and integrity.
• Tax Preparation: Assist in compiling and reviewing financial data for tax filings and compliance with applicable tax laws.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements within the finance department to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements

• Experience: 2+ years of experience in finance or accounting roles within fintech, banking, or similar industries.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Analytical Abilities: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and trends.
• Attention to Detail: High attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping and reporting.
• Communication: Effective written and verbal communication skills for interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. CPA or progress towards CPA is a plus.
